Hi All,

After downloading either Eclispe for Java Developers or for J2EE and
installing it crashes when launched. It comes up with error that it cannot
access memory at location 0. I tried setting java_home to Sun jdk 1.5 and
that did not fix the problem. It also occurs with Sun jdk 1.6.0_02. I am
using Windows XP SP2 for my OS.

Any ideas?

Thx,
-Tony

Same as in the next thread 'Installation won't start'.

* Could you first check the integrity of the download ZIP?
* Did it unzip correctly? The Windows XP integrated zip has sometimes
problems with long filenames.
* If all that didn't help, try removing the -Dosgi.bundlefile.limit=100 from
the eclise.ini file.

Please let us know, if any of these solved your problem.

Hi, I had the same problem and removing the -Dosgi line fixed it for my
part.
Other info: XPSP2, Java 1.6u1.
