Hi

I'm looking for a way to have multiple data sets in a data cube.

I've linked groups which are from two data sets in one data cube. Then I want to add two summary fields from the two data sets, so that I can have two measure fields on the cross tab. However, it seems that I can only drag and drop the fields of primary data set into summary fields.

In the "Groups and Summaries" tab of "Data Cube Builder" dialog.
Is there a way to drag and drop the fields from the data sets in "Other" section into "Summary Fields (Measures)".

Any feedback will be appreciated. many thanks.

Old post, but I have the same requirement... is there any way to add a summary field from another linked data cube?

Apologies for bump, but is there a workaround for this in 2020 on BIRT 4.6.0?

I need to aggregate data within 5 different datasets, and then aggregate those 5 aggregations into a grand total.

As a simplified example,
dataset1
9am 10
10am 30
11am 40

dataset2
12noon 80
1pm 80
2pm 20
9pm 40

1) aggregate dataset1
2) aggregate dataset2
3) combine those aggregations for grand total over 12 hrs

I can brute force by creating a new data set via union, but they literally make my report take twice as long to run because im running the queries again...
