Internal browser not working properly in 3.3M7 [message #211996] Thu, 24 May 2007 21:06

Hi,

I've installed 3.3M7 on ubuntu 6.06 and am having the following problems:

1. Any feature that uses an internal web browser can only show the
initial page in the browser, then clicking a link in that page will
bring up an external web browser window. E.g. in the Help window,
clicking any topic will show the help documents in an external browser.

2. The welcome page has no graphics, showing a list of the links to the
items in the welcome page. Clicking any of them again goes to an
external web browser, which shows an error message since the links are
not urls on Internet, such as
http://org.eclipse.ui.intro/showPage?id=overview

I'm running Eclipse with java 1.5.0 VM. When running with the default
java 1.4.2 VM, the welcome page was blank and clicking Help Contents
brings an error page saying that cannot compile class for JSP.

Could anybody tell what's the problem here?

Thanks,
Xiaoyang
