Yes, that's essentially what it does.

It specifies all projects in the same repository as the "given
project". This we can implement in a way that doesn't end up
introducing build-time dependencies on so many different possible
repository providers (though even this is done in kind of a
hacky/reflective way)...

Have you noticed that there is a "preview" capability via the context menu?
