hello,

the following message appears on unzipping the downloaded eclipse file

cannot open file 'eclipse-standard-kepler-SR2-win32,. it does not appear to be a valid archive.

if you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

have already downloaded several times

What are you using to extract the zip?

To try to save you some time here ('cause it's the weekend)...

1. Where did you get the archive? eclipse.org, right?

2. Once you do get a valid download...

Sometimes the standard Windows zip fails to extract long paths or paths
with spaces, etc. including such paths as where you might wish to
explode your zip'd archive to.

You can usually rely on 7zip to work properly. Alternatively, you can
find a really simple path on which to explode your archive. When on
Windows (been a few years), I put it here:

C:\Users\russ\dev\eclipse

and that worked for me (even using the standard Windows zip tool). Your
mileage may vary and/or Eclipse paths may have changed since Helios (the
last time I did anything Windows with Eclipse).
