Hi,

Any pointers on how to create an Oomph for our project?

Cheers,

Wim

Wim,

As I mentioned in my blog
http://ed-merks.blogspot.de/2014/02/shoes-for-shoemaker.html the
authoring guide is "work in progress" meaning "there's not much
there". Eike has created wizards that can "sniff" an installation to
see what's there an synthesize an initial *.setup for it. To try that
out, you can install the Oomph feature from
https://hudson.eclipse.org/cdo/job/emf-cdo-integration/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact
into your existing installation. Create a new Project Setup and follow
the steps to use the wizards. Then you'll have a *.setup you can edit.
You'll notice in the toolbar that you can launch the installer for the
setup to test it out as you change it. Be sure to enable Live
Validation so you can catch problems early.

If you get stuck, ask more questions. You can attach your *.setup so we
can help fix any problems. If you finish and are happy with the result,
open a bugzilla so we can add Nebula's *.setup to the index!

Hi Wim,

Right now I'm mocking up a Quick Starter Guide for authors: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Oomph_Authoring

I'm still adding to it but you can already find some useful information there ;-)

Cheers
