Folks,
I am using xdc tools version 3.15.x . Looks like the
xdc.runtime.knl.interfaces.ISemaphore.getCount has been removed from
version 3.15.00.18 onwards but the API documentation still has references
to this.
This change makes xdctools version 3.15.00.18+ incompatible with bios
6.20.00.16.
Can the documentation be fixed in a future release.
Also, are there guideline related to xdc tools compatibility in terms of
version numbers . Can patch releases have API changes ?

Regards
Badri

Yes. We will update the docs in the next week or so to correspond to
the first official relase of 3.15.

In general patch releases should not have incompatible API changes. We
do sometimes _add_ new apis in a patch release, but we try to maintain
binary compatibility in all patch releases.
