Hi! All,

I am very much new to GMF. I have got one query -
is it possible to create a diagram editor without parsing the diagram file?

I have seen the logic example, but in runtime workspace - if it does not
find any diagram file, it creates it & provide the blank diagram editor.
Otherwise, by parsing the existing file creates the editor.

My query is, I have a tree structure & I want to create the diagram
editor directly from the tree structure.

Please provide your suggestion on this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Manoj

Hi,

Yes this is possible. If you look at GMF example editors, there is an
editor view where your diagram is and there's an outline view. The outline
view has 2 modes. Overview and Tree view of the diagram. Tree view and
diagram view are represented by the same model and work together therefore.
Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Alex
