I'm running kubuntu, I've installed the eclipse package from the standard
repository, however when I try to run it I get this message:

any thoughts on why this is happening?

display a dialog box. I have no clue how KDialogue works, but can anyone
point me to the file I should be editing to fix this?

I edited the launcher script and commented out the kdialog call.
