How can I change the resource icons used by the Navigator and Package
Explorer view?

My plugin supports a number of image formats, and I want to let eclipse
use the very same icon for all formats. Currently *.jpg uses a different
icon than *.bmp, and not known formats like *.hdr or *.tga are shown using
the default "file" icon.

I could register an editor on all supported image types, but I do neither
have an editor for the images, nor do I want to add an editor
functionality. So that's not an option.

Any hints?
