I think he means that it should be possible to have the debugger record
the steps you take, i.e. run until certain breakpoint, step into, step
over x times, then step into etc. This is very useful, since sometimes
a bug does only occur after a certain computation sequence, i.e. it is
not in the method only, but in the combination data + method. This can
in part be solved by conditional breakpoints, but it would be easier as
suggested.
