How would I do this? Can I unzip a jar to edit the plugin.xml? If so, which jar
would it be and what command for mapping a key combination to the 'publish'
button on the servers view?
Thanks

AFAIK I should be able to go into one of the WTP jars in the eclipse
installation to configure my desired key combination to the appropriate WTP
plugin.xml file.
Am I totally misguided here? Any answer would be most welcome.

Well I hope you can create a custom binding for any command, but it's not in the
General->Keys menu, even if you check the "include unbound commands" and
uncheck all the advanced filter options.
This Keys menu /just doesn't contain/ the 'publish' button.
Check it out.
I am asking about jars and plugin.xml files because that's what I was told would
be the most likely solution (on another eclipse list).
But thanks for answering! I was beginning to think this must be some sort of
taboo subject.
