Hi!

Say, I have (manually checked out) local SVN subtree copy and a (not-Java)
project this subtree uses. I'd want to be able (and having read-only rights
only) to update the subtree inside the IDE instead of 'svn up'. Which the
plugin subcomponents must I install? What are my further steps?

Hello Andrew,

If I correctly understand your situation, you can do following:
1) Install into Eclipse IDE Subversive plug-in. Minimally required set is
SVN Team Provider itself and any of available connector libraries. More
about installing this plug-ins you can read at:
http://www.eclipse.org/subversive/downloads.php
2) Then you can create new project at the path of content which is already
checked out from SVN.
After that you can share imported file system content with the Subversive
SVN team provider.

I have did it.

And this is a problem. Now I have a project, project's root has two dirs and
three files checked out (as well as .svn dir). Project context menu - Team
has the only menu item "Apply patch".

Hi, Andrew.
Let me ask you some questions.

1. Is there the same problem with sharing the freshly-created project?

2. What Eclipse IDE version are you using?
If it's Eclipse 3.4 M7, please make sure that the plug-in is fully
installed. Cause there's a problem with this build, cause update-manager
(see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=230233)
The easiest way to get to know it is to check if there an 'SVN' group in
Eclispe IDE preferences (Window->Preferences).

Please let me know ASAP.

Best regards,Alexei Goncharov

Alexei, hi!

What do you mean with "freshly-created"? As I have mentioned, I have no
write access rights to really *share* something.

I use v.3.3.1.1 with 2008.05.17 subversive/connectors zipped sites (have
tried v.3.4rc1, and last one fails to build, but this is another story).

"Project context menu - Team

I mean this one). Is the freshly created project behaves the same?
Was you projected checked out via command-line?
