mode & uchg flag problems: Eclipse+CVS+Mac OS X [message #195710] Fri, 23 February 2007 03:55

I'm new to Eclipse/Mac OS X/CVS so this may be a really simple oversight...

When I import a project from CVS within Eclipse, many of the files end up
with incorrect modes (AFAIK, missing the 'x' bit is the worst problem) and
(usually at least) the same files have the user immutable ('uchg') BSD
flag set which prevents changing the permissions manually or otherwise
modifying the files (w/o using chflags). When I check out the same
directories from the repository using cvs from a shell, all seems fine.

Any ideas what I've got set up wrong?

(When I import the files from the 'commandline' CVS checkout into Eclipse
via the 'File System' alternative, all is fine also - as expected).

Environment:
Mac OS X 10.4.8 (8N1051)
Eclipse 3.2.2 (Build id: M20070212-1330)
CDT 3.1.2.2007021506
(everything seems to be updated to current)
