Guys,
I am trying to extract Eclipse 3.21, and there is an error of have
file name too long. I have to skip those files for the extraction to
complete. Do y'all know how to fix this problem so I can successfully
extract all of the file?

What OS are you using? If it's Windows, are you using a "real" zip
utility, or the built-in capability? There have been reports of
problems unzipping, using -- I think -- Windows's built-in unzip. If
that's what you're using, you might try WinZip, 7-zip or ZipCentral.

Make sure you're not extracting into a directory that's already got a long
path name. (For instance, c:\eclipse321 is probably good; c:\program
files\development utilities\programming
tools\eclipse\versions\sdks\eclipse321 might be bad.)

well it is not so simple ;), winrar has built-in restriction and is
unable to unpack long file names. 7zip works fine but after unpacking
there is problem when it tries to copy unpacked files from temp dir to
destination point. i have some advices :
- change default %TEMP% path to make it shorter (default is in user homedir)
- you can try to unpack subdirectory by subdirectory (i used 7zip to do
it this way)

let me know if it works for you.

I've been using WinZip successfully. But my temp directory is set to
d:\temp, so it is short, and I'm always installing Eclipse into directories
at the root (e.g., d:\eclipse-20070205).
