Hi all,

I apologize if I am posting this into a wrong newsgroup, but please bear
with my inexpirience with Eclipse community.

I have couple questions, and first one deals with Eclipse platform. I
trying to build a workflow designer GUI, and I was wondering if I could
use a core Eclipse platform to be a container for that GUI. Let me explain
what I mean, I would like to use Eclipse features such as CVS in my
workflow designer GUI, and I was wondering if I could make that GUI as a
plug-in and put it into an Eclipse platform, removing all the features for
Java development? Is there such a thing as a Eclipse shell?

My second question is, if I have to build that workflow designer UI as a
standalone application, what are the restrictions (legal, and technical)
for trying to use Eclipse CVS client inside my application? Are there any
documents describing this integration?

Thanks,
Goran

Basically yes.
This depends on dependencies between plugins. I do not know if the cvs
plugins requires the jdt plugin. If not you can remove jdt (java ide)
without any problems.

Of course not exactly.

At first change the newsgroup to eclipse.tools.
Than read the faq's, than try to search the newsgroup (finding these
links is the first task to master ;) ). eclipsewiki.swiki.net is a
good startpoint too.
For your workflow builder could GEF be a good component (there is a
newsgroup concering this too).
