How to activate emacs keybindings in dialogs [message #191014] Wed, 31 January 2007 13:52

Dear eclipse users

I have activated the Emacs scheme in the settings: Window->Preferences->General->Keys.

While emacs keybindings (e.g. Ctrl-f for moving cursor forward, Ctrl-d for forward delete) work perfectly in eclipse editor windows, they do not work in text fields, e.g. in the find/replace dialog.

Is it possible to enable Emacs keybindings for these text fields in dialogs at all? I couldn't find any relating information in the documentation. (version information: eclipse 3.2.1, Mac OS X 10.4.8)

Any hint is greatly appreciated!

Best regards,
Christian
