OS: Mandrake 10.2 (limited edition)
JVM(Java Virtual Machine):1.4.2
Eclipse : eclipse-SDK-3.0.1-linux-gtk.zip
Eclipse Version:3.0.1
Packages (features and plugins):
GEF-examples-3.0.1.zip
GEF-runtime-3.0.1.zip
GEF-SDK-3.0.1.zip
NLpack-org.eclipse.cdt-2.0.x-linux.x86.zip
NLpack-org.eclipse.cdt.sdk-2.0.x-linux.x86.zip
org.eclipse.cdt-2.1.1-linux.x86.zip
org.eclipse.cdt.sdk-2.1.1-linux.x86.zip
VE-SDK-1.0.2.1.zip
//-------------
steps:
1-I unzipped eclipse-SDK-3.0.1-linux-gtk.zip to /usr/local/etc, so i
have the new Directory: /usr/local/etc/eclipse
2-I unzipped the other packages in the eclipse directory, so the
content of
features Directory for each Package goes in
/usr/local/etc/eclipse/features.
the content of plugins Directory for each Package goes
in /usr/local/etc/eclipse/plugins.
3- i launch eclipse. but i haven't access to VE or GEF (don't appear
in File->New).
4-i launch Help->About Eclipse Platform to verify if VE (gef,C/C++)
plugins and
features are installed, so i found that all them are installed.
5- i can create a new C/C++ make project, but no access to VE and GEF
and it's
examples (flow and organigram)
Questions:
A/ i have done the same steps for all packages so why the one concerning
C/C++ is working well and not the same thing for GEF and VE?
B/ How i Can install and use VE (GEF)?

GEF is a framework, not a product. You can install the GEF examples to see
some GEF-based editors.
