JPA: No drivers in list with 2.0M5 [message #188954] Fri, 02 March 2007 05:53 Go to next message

Maybe I'm doing something wrong or missing something obvious. I'm using
2.0M5 with the dependencies described on the download.

I worked my way through defining my PostgreSQL 8.1.1 database in the
Connectivity preferences menu, and I was able to successfully add the
database and navigate through the schema in the Data Source Explorer.

When I first tried to use the Java Persistence context menu for my
project, select Generate Entities... and select my connection, the Schema
drop-down was empty and the Next and Finish buttons are disabled. Even if
I typed in the schema name (just "public") in this case, the buttons
remain disabled. Clicking Reconnect... had no effect.

Then I noticed that in the JPA properties menu, I had no connection
selected, so I selected my connection and applied the change (the only
platform listed is "generic" which struck me as a bit odd, however). This
changed the behaviour, but unfortunately now clicking Generate Entities...
does absolutely nothing.

Any things I should check, or should I submit this as a bug?

Sorry my subject is misleading... I had typed it when I first started
having trouble and actually resolved that problem.

A more accurate subject would be "Generate Entities silent failure".
