Hello,
I am completely new to Eclipse and I've just downloaded 3.2.1, but can't
find any instructions on how to install the software. I just have a big
zip file sitting on my PC. Can someone please point me to instructions?
Thanks
Chris

Unzip the big zip file, using a "good" unzipper (e.g., WinZip, NOT the
built-in Windows unzipper).
Make sure you have a Java JRE available on your path that is 1.4.2 or
greater (you can open a Command Prompt, and try "java -version" to see
if you're good to go).
Then, if you browse to the unzipped directory, you should find an
eclipse.exe inside the eclipse subdirectory. That should start eclipse
for you.
If you have a 1.4.2+ JRE, but it's not on your path, you can (1) copy
the eclipse.exe shortcut to your desktop, (2) edit the Properties to add
"-vm /path/to/jre/bin/java.exe", and (3) double-click to run as above.
