the next while. Whenever I try to find method references in Eclipse it
always tells me 0 references (no JRE). I know I have errors in my project
due to unresolved references in a bunch of third party libs. but this should
still work on my code shouldn't it? JDeveloper never had a problem with
this.

Check your Java project's build path and make sure there's a JRE on the
build path.
