Dear all,

As previously announced, ATL is now going to be a component
of the Eclipse M2M project.

see:
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/
http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/m2m/

As a consequence, the old Yahoo list atl_discussion
(http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/atl_discussion/) is now going to
migrate to this Eclipse M2M newsgroup.

For information about accessing Eclipse newsgroups, see:
http://www.eclipse.org/newsgroups/

The M2M newsgroup is also accessible with a web browser:
- read-only archives:
http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.modeling.m2m/m aillist.html
- newsportal (requires login/password, see
http://www.eclipse.org/newsgroups/):
http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/thread.php?group=eclipse.m odeling.m2m

You may start thus, as soon as possible, to post your ATL questions
on this Eclipse newsgroup.

If you wish to answer on the Eclipse newsgroup a question that was asked
here on the atl-discussion Yahoo list, please summarize the question
before answering.

I anticipate that the migration may be quite rapid, and finished
by the beginning of January 2007.

As of January 2007, every message sent to the Yahoo list
will be replied to by a message stating that the official place
to ask questions is now the Eclipse M2M newsgroup.

Last point, for the Eclipse M2M posting.
Since we are going to share this newsgroup with the
other M2M components, the PMC (the group of people leading the
Eclipse Modeling top level project) has asked us to prefix all posts
(questions, answers, comments), with the component name.
You will need to add [ATL] at the beginning of the subject
of your post o that they may be distinguished from the
posts related to the other components.

I take this opportunity to thank all who have helped to answer questions
on the Yahoo atl_discussion list, and more generally the whole ATL
community.

I look forward to continuing the work with you in this new M2M project.

Best regards,

Frédéric Jouault

M2M Project Lead

PS: Management of the Yahoo list archives will be announced later.
