Will the next update of WTP 1.5.x include the new xerces 2.9?

No, the 1.5.x stream never would (unless we hear of an abolute need for it from WTP's point of view)
since it is a minor update (2.8.x --> 2.9.0) not just maintenance, so could in theory break adopters.

We probably will attempt an update in WTP 2.0 ... but, I'd certainly feel better if someone (egh emm)
opened a bug/feature request explaining why that would be important.

Thanks,

At this time, I am not aware of a justification for the upgrade. The
question was intended as a "heads up" planning item. If WTP is upgrading,
then maybe I would need to look closer at the new XERCES.

I'll be happy to post a feature request, but the only real justification I
can offer is that there is generally more support for current releases.

Thanks
Michael
