Hello!

I need an Orion plugin for Eclipse and it seems I can't find it
anywhere. I knew it used to be available on www.genuitec.com, but is no
longer available there. Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Remus Ciobotaru

Hi,

do you mean the J2EE ApplicationServer Orion?
I don't know about any specific plugin, but I know eclipse or one of its
tooling projects (WTP) has generic support for various webservers and AS.
The generic support should be sufficient to launch and stop the
container instance.
What do you want to do or what do you expect from that plugin?

kind regards,
Toni

Thanks for your answer, Toni.

Well I am trying to create an Orion Server and Server Configuration
Project associated with my EAR Project. How can I do that? Because Eclipse
IDE WTP supplies support only for OC4J Oracle server.

Best regards,
Remus

about oc4j: oc4j is orion. It was just licened and forked to fit into
the oracle toolchain.
But configfiles and libs are orion, so the WTP suppor should fit for
orion as well. (my point of view is 2005, as I used both orion/oc4j in a
commercial project; but without eclipse support)
good luck,
kind regards,
Toni

Yes, I could probably use OC4J working with Eclipse IDE, and then to
deploy my application on Orion (which is also the Production Server, so I
can't dispose it). There would be only one problem : I would like to work
with EJB 3.0 (OC4J supports it), and I am almost sure that Orion doesn't
have support for it. Any help?

Best regards,
Remus Ciobotaru
