I have another question on the text example code. When inserting text,
the string is simply inserted into the current run at the appropriate
place. This all gets set up in BlockEditPolicy#getTextInsertionCommand.

What happens when formatting changes require a new run to be created?
For example, if bold text is pending, the current run needs to be split
at the cursor and a new run with the different formatting needs to be
created and inserted. I've been unable to find the code where this
happens; could you point me to it?
