when i build this project, there are many errors like this:

Access restriction: The type EMFPlugin is not accessible due to
restriction on required library
D:\eclipse-SDK-3.1M7\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.emf.common_ 2.0.1\runtime\common.jarEDiagramPlugin.java
org.eclipse.gef.examples.ediagram/src/org/eclipse/gef/exampl es/ediagram line

i'm using 3.1M7

Software updates->Manage Installation
there are the relative plugin version i use
EMF SDK 2.0.1
Graphical Editing Framework SDK 3.1.0

Hi ?

I find EDiagram works fine (only work in progress bugs) with

Windows XP SP2, Eclipse 3.1M7, JDK 1.5_0 (01) (1.4 should be no problem)
EMF I200505261142
GEF 3.1M7

EMF I200505191347 has some minor issues with source plug-in ids
You're using EMF 2.0.1 which will be the killer.

'works fine':
1 bogus warning from plugin.xml (Bug 96697)
2 deprecations
3 discouraged accesses (if at 1.5 compliance)
numerous type safeties (if at 1.5 compliance).
