Greetings
The nntp server used to listen on ports 119 and 80
We use port 80 since our workplace firewall blocks everything else
Since earlier today We have been unable to use the newsgroup on that
port, it seems to be just a regular web server listening there now.
From an email I received not too long ago:
> Here is the URL for the list of Eclipse newsgroups:
>
> Your ID and password for access to the news server is:
> News server: news.eclipse.org
> UserID: **********
> Password: **********
> Port: 119, or 80 for firewalled users
> SSL: no
> If you're new to Eclipse, please use the eclipse.newcomers group for
> general information and questions:

Is this a change in "policy" ?
