Dear Software Engineers,
The link
http://ltiwww.epfl.ch/WebLang/SoftEnExample/J2EE.html
presents, I believe, the fastest way of creating a Web application
compatible with WTP. This link also points to pages that present a
software engineering approach to the development of four designs of the
same application (a toy lottery), using four different subsets of the
J2EE components (servlets, Struts, EJBs, JMS, Hibernate, Web services,
AJAX, rich clients).
The architectures of these applications are very clear thanks to the use
of a new language, WebLang. Writing an applications with a language is
easier than with wizards and as we provide the developer with facilities
for modifying the templates used by the compiler and for integrating the
modifications of the output into the new outputs of the compiler, it is
possible to go a long way without the usual troubles linked to the use
of program generators.
Best Regards,
C. Petitpierre
