Hi,
I recently downloaded Eclipse 3.2.1 and tried to unzip it using WinRAR
3.60. Although it did seem to work, I got a number of error messages while
doing so; something about the filenames being too long.
Is this a common thing? I'm using Windows XP with SP2, BTW, and I'm using
WinRAR for unzipping.

Hi Lucas -
I saw somewhere that you should make sure that the option to
automatically convert end of line characters turned off. My
recollection is that the tip was referring to WinZip, but WinRAR may
have a similar option.
Good luck,
Paul

Thanks, but I checked, and WinRAR doesn't seem to have any option like
that, unless I'm missing something.

OK, here I am answering my own posts again... ;-)
I figured out how to properly extract the files. What happened was, I
downloaded the .zip file and I unzipped it in a directory on the desktop
(just to see if the zip file was in working order, you know. For some
reason that messes up the file system in the plugin folder.
Finally I tried extracting the files to a folder I made in the Program
Files folder, and this time it worked without any problems! Go figure.
