I have completed the part 1 of the GMF tutorial (mindmap). I have built
the Ecore model from the provided XSD file and everything worked as
expected. I can place a couple of topics on the diagram and connect them.
From many messages I have read so far, I feel that generating an XML file
from my diagram should be straightforward.
How do you generate this XML file? Is there a menu somewhere I have
missed? Should I implement any Java methods? The only files I can generate
are default.mindmap and default.mindmap_diagram.

the fichier xmi are generated with your digram. Create a new diagram, and
add two tpics with connection. after saving, an other file are created in
your workspace, open the file with text editor. you have our file XMI.
