I've read some threads in this forum about adding your own ext pts and
overriding various calls to add functionality on top of wtp. Is there any
developer documentation that goes into detail on this? I looked over the
docs, but they didn't specify detailed programming information, just how to
use what is currently built in.

thanks

Are you asking about how to add your own extension points or how to use
extension points provided by WTP to build on top of it?

There are various facilities available for extending WTP. API and
extension point documentation can be found in the Web Standard Tools
Developer Guide and J2EE Standard Tools Developer Guide section of the
help. Note that you need to download a WTP SDK build in order to see
these help sections.

Feel free to ask more specific questions when you get further along.

Konstantin,

Can you please point me to the documentation and extension points
needed to implement custom IVirtualComponent API. The one you've
suggested as a solution for Maven integration discussed at
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=154251

I couldn't find anything in help pages at
http://help.eclipse.org/help32/index.jsp
JavaDoc at http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/wst/api/ also does not
bring much light into this.

Thanks in advance

regards,
Eugene

PS: by the way, will anyone from BEA WTP team going be at the BEA World
next week?
