Hi,

Up till now I have been using the GEF to build free form editors where users
could move figures about as they liked.

However now I have to try and build one which is more static/fixed in
nature.
Its basically a state diagram with transitions between them. (Boxes as
states and lines as transitions at its simplest)
I have already done this in a free form manner but am unsure as to how to do
this in a fixed way.

Essentially the first state will appear in the top left hand corner.
The next state will be left hand side of editor just below initial state.
Parallel states are possible so they would go to right of exisiting state.
All states are of same size.

To me it seems almost like a grid layout.
Has anyone any advice for me on how to approach this ?

Thanks a lot,
Alan.
