How to add the standard tool ZOOM OUT in the GMF palette?

I tried adding standard tool with Kind = Zoom_Out in gmftool, but it
removed all other tools like zoom in, note etc. Also the zoom out function
was not working properly.

Is there a way by which we can create a toolentry with ID as Zoom_Out in
the palettefactory class and add it to the root? Or it has to be modeled.

Am I missing something here?

Maybe you should vote for this bug :
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=210642

This is an additional way of handling zoom using mouse scroll wheel
(that could be used in addition with the Tool entry).

Sandip,

I am in the process of creating a new look and feel for the palette in
GEF and in GMF. This includes adding a zoom out tool to the palette in
GMF by default. This patch will be committed as soon as GMF adopts the
latest GEF version which shouldn't be too long. Is this sufficient?

Thanks Cherie,

I will wait for it.

As of now will try to play around a bit and check if I can add it thru
coding.
Will update some solution soon.

Sandip,

In case you weren't aware of this, you can also use the existing zoom
tool in the palette to zoom out by holding down the shift key while you
are using the tool.

Yupp ... I know this..

But our customers dont know :P

They need it exclusively as a tool in the palette. Well I think they will
wait till July 25 Release for 2.1 now.
