I have installed Eclipse 3.2 and installed Callisto using the update
manager. The WTP project is installed and all dependencies are ok. But I
am missing the XML editor. How can I active it?

I also don't have an WebXXX item unter Window->Preferences like my
colleague has. Any ideas?

Thanx
Ulrich

Ulrich,

My first guess would be something just went wrong during install/update
and you should
start a fresh install.

In case you've already tried that. Then here's some more stuff to try.

If you started with "Eclipse SDK" package, You might check under
Prefreences, General, Capabilities
and be all capabilities are enabled. (I think they are, by default .. but,
just in case).

Be sure to check your "log" file, and see if there's any interesting
messages there.
(The .log is under your .metadata directory of your workspace, or, you can
basically
see it by going to the about-box (from Help), click on Configuration
Details, then click on
View Error Log.

Hope this helps.

Hello David,

the problem was caused by the General->Capabilites preferences. I don't
know why but the XML/Web development features were disabled. (Maybe
because I (un)installed XML buddy once).

Now it's working. :-))

Thanx
Ulrich
