Somehow I have pressed some keys so my cursor is now larger than before. I
have tried to search the help file for cursor and also tried google cursor
size+eclipse, but there is no info on this.

Is it some kind of easteregg??

Everywhere or just in a specific editor? What do you mean by "larger"?
Wider or higher or both?

Sounds like an Operating System thing - I don't think Eclipse does
anything special with the cursor that other apps don't do.

That's called the overwrite mode which is quite common in textual editors.

Oh, I see what you're talking about now.
Actually, I would not say that the cursor _size_ is changed - rather it
is changed from a line cursor to a block cursor. As someone else pointed
out, that is pretty much standard for text/document editors.
