Eclipse Error: "Queueing viewer updates" [message #169502] Tue, 05 September 2006 12:47 Go to next message

Hello,

after using Eclipse 3.1 on FreeBSD since it's been released, I recently
switched to Ubuntu and Eclipse 3.2 with following plugins (all up-to-date):

- Aptana
- E-P-I-C
- Subclipse
- TeXlipse

All worked fine until yesterday. Since then, I get a message containing
"Error" sometimes. Not more. I think more often when I switch
applications (e.g. Eclipse -> Thunderbird) or the editor tabs, but I'm
not sure. Sometimes I also get a window like you can see on this image:

http://www.plusw.de/images/errors.jpg

I cannot find anything about this in ~/workspace/.metadata/.log.

Does someone has an idea what the cause of this could be?

Matt

Have you tried running eclipse with -consolelog -debug -clean parameters ?
Does it reveal anything new compared to your log?

Sorry does not have any suggestion as to what the problem could be.

Cheers,
Flemming

Well

Ubuntu use its own Java based on GNU (Gcj), and I had the same problem.
I solved it just getting java from Sun and changing the access of (Gcj)
/usr/bin/java to Java of Sun Microsystems.

Greetings.
