Line numbers in validator messages? [message #168240]

Is there support for line numbers in the problems created by validation?
I don't currently see a way to specify a line number for a message logged
with a validator, although the XML validator seems to be able to do it
(though I'm not sure how). Can anyone help with this?

Oy, so it's there in a setter method. I was thrown due to lack of
constructor support for it, and the fact that the EJB validator doesn't
seem to provide a line number for its validation messages.

But so this thread isn't completely useless, is there a convenient way to
retrieve a line number from a resource that corresponds to a particular
EMF object?
