problem following the example in the Eclipse Corner article [message #15674] Mon, 02 April 2007 12:46 Go to next message

I am admittedly new to the OCL plug-in. I read the Eclipse Corner
article and followed it to the point where I am supposed to create a
runtime workbench. I have tried a couple of ways of doing that but I get
a workbench with no projects and I have no clue form the directions in
the article how to proceed. Could I get either a bit of clarification or
a pointer to a more explicit set of directions?

Thanks

John

Hi, John,

A run-time workbench's workspace will initially be empty. You need to
create a project in it, and probably some data (files) on which to test
your code. To test your OCL-defined constraints etc. in your run-time
workbench, use the wizard generated by EMF to create an instance document.
You should find it in the "New > Other..." action on the file menu, under
the "Example EMF Model Creation Wizards" category (e.g., "Employee Model").
Note that this requires generating the Edit and Editor code from your
Employee.genmodel. Once you have an instance document with some objects in
it, then you can follow the remaining steps to test your OCL constraints.

HTH,

Christian
