sorry if this is a lamer question but i am newbe when it comes to AspectJ
and Eclipse aswell :) - not for long hopefully!

Is there a way to run Ant tasks on AspectJ from within Eclipse ?

If not: are you aware of any plugin development to that end ?

Thank you all!

I\'m not sure what you\'re asking.

You can run the AspectJ compiler using the AspectJ Ant task in
any Ant build, including Ant builds run from Eclipse. Just
follow the instructions in the AspectJ release at

{release}/docs/ant-tasks.html

including putting aspectjtools.jar on your Ant classpath.

AJDT enables you to build eclipse projects using the
AspectJ compiler; Ant is not used by AJDT. For more questions
on AspectJ or the AspectJ Ant tasks, see aspectj-users@eclipse.org.
