eclipse and wtp versions [message #1298] Fri, 18 April 2008 10:37 Go to next message

I am planning to upgrade soon from 0.0.11/12 to 0.9.x as soon as I have a
chance, and I am just wondering what versions of Eclipse and WTP the m2e
developers are using.

I had a quick browse on the codehaus website docs and couldn't see any
definitive statement on the compatibility there.

Another question re the mailing list user@m2eclipse.codehaus.org - what's the
difference between this list and that one? Is it going to be brought down in
favour of this one, or is this a 'developers only' list? - in which case I'll
scurry back there.... :)

regards
Adam

PS kudos on the quality of docs on the new version - it bodes well for a
peaceful upgrade for me!

I've updated project wiki page to list all requirements. See
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/M2ECLIPSE/Requirements

Currently we only have some limited support for WTP 2.0 and above. See

http://docs.codehaus.org/display/M2ECLIPSE/Integration+with+ WTP#IntegrationwithWTP-WTP2

There isn't much traffic in either list, so it is up to you, but we
would appreciate additional activity here to promote Eclipse community.
There is also low-traffic list dev@m2eclipse.codehaus.org that is
focused on m2eclipse development, in order to not annoy regular users
who not much concerned of m2eclipse development discussions.

Thanks and please don't hesitate to contribute to the wiki. :)
