DirectedGraphLayout types [message #164976] Fri, 21 January 2005 15:31 Go to next message

By any chance, are there other GEF layout classes out there that perform
layouts other than hierarchical? Can the DirectedGraphLayout be coerced
into creating circular and tree type graphs?

I was looking at the jGraph Addons, and there seems to be many layout styles
there:
http://www.jgraph.com/addons.html. Is anybody porting these to GEF?

Thank you,
Brett

No other algorithms are available at this time. I don't think we could port
theirs since it is a commercial product.

What other algorithms are planned? When might they be available?

Is it possible to use the directed graph algorithm to create these other
types of graphs?

None of the jgraph algorithms are planned yet.

No. There is no similarity in the algorithms AFAIK.
