Mylar support in PDT [message #15480] Wed, 18 April 2007 18:44 Go to next message

Hi all,

I just went through the webinar on Mylar and I am astounded by the
usefulness of it. The problem is, I need it to work for PDT. The php
outline view doesn't seem to work the way the package navigator does when
using Java. Is there some thing I could do to add support for PDT?

Thanks.
Nathan.

Hi Nathan,

Have you read this?
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylar_User_Guide#Integrati on_with_other_tools
PDT is not fully supported. The good news is there is a suggestion bug.
So you can vote for it if you want, I did :)
here is the bug link
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=176804

Cheers,
Ali

Ali,

I actually wrote another message on the board asking for help in voting
for this bug after posting the message which you replied. :) I see that
the count is now 10. It was 4 when I submitted my vote. Good to see
there's progress.

Please, everyone, VOTE!

Nathan.

Heh :)

Yeah I saw your message. Mylar is pretty neat tool, and it would be
awesome if we get the full integration with PDT.

BTW Nathan, I just saw this comment on the bug, Mike Kersten states that
this should be done from the PDT end. I am not sure how this would be
coordinated. Maybe Mylar has some standard integration framework or
something
( http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylar_Integrator_Reference #Context_framework).
I will look to see if there is a bug reported on PDT as well. So maybe
we can vote for that as well? I am not sure

And while we are already in the PDT newsgroup, I would love to hear from
a PDT developer, is this possible? planned?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,
Ali
