Hi,

I am looking into writing a Rich Text Editor using GEF and am looking for
some pointers in the right direction. I have read over previous posts
surrounding the issue and am aware IBM implemented this for Page Designer.

Reading previous posts the concensus seems to be that you need to write
code to extend the concept of selection and manage a caret. So my question
is whether there is any existing code that I can use that would help me
implement these features more quickly.

And if not if anyone knows of any articles that would be of help just so
that I know I am going in the right direction.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Graeme

There is currently work in progress to support this. Features of selection,
caret, etc., have been added (albeit they're not quite done yet). Check out
the new text example (from the repository of the latest integration build).
