Existing project into WTP? [message #163956] Wed, 15 March 2006 12:53 Go to next message

Hello everyone,

I can't find a way to "import" an existing project into the "WTP",
especially associating it with an already defined Tomcat-Server, other
than to create a new "WTP-project" and copying all the files from the
old one.

I hope, someone can help me?

Bye,
HS

Just use the regular Eclipse import. I'm using a Jboss server. There are
some tricks to make it work seamlessly.
1) make sure you define your server in the Eclipse preferences before the
import.
2) If the server definition has changed, manually edit the project
..classpath to use the new server definition.
3) Do a normal Ecplipse project import.

If you forget #1 and #2, the server references will get dropped and I'm not
sure how to fix it other than rebuilding the project.
