I have the Ctrl+S tic. I figure it has been enough years with it since web-apps like Google Docs will automatically save as I type so I don't have to worry about losing a bunch of work.

Is there a way to configure Eclipse to do this. I recently discovered Eclipse keeps a internal history of the source files (unrelated to a source version control tool), so even if it saves every second or every 5 seconds, the user can recover recent work by undoing.

Is this feature already available ? How do I enable it ?

Thanks

Jeremy,

No, I don't think there is a feature that automatically saves dirty
editors. That's probably a bad idea, given such a thing tend to kick
off a build, which can be expensive and would be pointless if your file
is not in a good state for such an activity.
