I have just upgraded to 3.2 and everything takes twice time than 3.1.2. Is
there some natural explanation for this or should I just reinstall 3.1.2 to
get better performance?

I've noticed this too. It seems like workspace refreshes are taking
longer than they used too. Could just be my imagination though.

I cannot confirm that "everything" takes twice the time. A great deal of
time was invested to keep up with performance. Is it with plain Eclipse
SDK you see this or are other plug-ins involved? I suggest to file
specific bugs for those scenarios where you see noticeable performance
degradation.
