In the Java perspective, is there a way to either
a) view more than 100 errors in the Problems View or
b) restrict the projects being shown in the Problems View

I have a number of projects in my Java Workspace that are the result of
importing filesystems (downloaded source code from books) and the
majority of them have errors that are being flagged in the Problems
View, but if I want to see the ones at the bottom of the list (say the
last 30 of 393), it appears that I have to fix all the first 100 before
I can see the second 100, etc. and I don't want to fix the first 100 yet.

Click the little icon in the top right corner on the problems view (the
one with three arrows). In the resulting dialogue box, you can restrict
the projects viewed (as well as the kinds of problems) in the view.

To show more than 100 problems, open the preferences and navigate to
"Java > Compiler > Building". Here you can set the "Maximum number of
problems reported..."

The Eclipse Help files have a number of entries explaining the Problems
View. You can search for Problem View if you need additional help.
