Contributing new server definitions by server vendor [message #159782] Thu, 09 February 2006 04:20 Go to next message

We are a server vendor and would like to contribute our server definition
to the existing list. We have created a plugin using the serverTypes and
other needed extension points. Can we commit to the wtp cvs so that it is
automatically listed and our existing users do not have to download the
plugin seperately.

Thanks

You can not directly commit that to the CVS. A WTP committer should help you
get it in. There is a contributon procedure that you must go through.
wtp-dev@eclipse.org mailing list is a good way to start things. Have you
also considered the downloadable servers. This way your server will be
listed but the actual adapter will be downloaded from your own update site.
