Is it possible to extend the current implementations to support
multi-level nested drawers ?
Or is there already some other solution for organizing a large amount of
tools in the palette ?
If not, what is the best starting point for implementing such a feature ?

Thanks in advance
Florian

It is possible to have nested containers in the palette right now, but
neither is it recommended, nor supported. And it's not going to look good
either.

If you have a lot of tools on the palette, a simpler/better option would be
to just show the ones that are most useful first, and hide the rest of the
entries.
