Hello,

I'am a little bit confused about the encoding in Eclipse on MAC OSX. First I notice that eclipse starts with the default encoding set to US-ASCII. Then I modify the environment LC_ALL to UTF-8. Now, if I start eclipse from command line, it sets the default encoding correctly. If I start it from the launcher, it still uses US-ASCII.

How I'am be able to use a consistent setting on my system. I have to explain, that I using different versions of eclipse on my system. All have to use UTF-8 as default encoding. I know that I'am able to add a line to eclipse.ini, but I don't think this is the correct solution.

Thanks,
Dirk
